Chairperson's Message, Thursday, April 10, 2003, Sustaining Members Night *Note - this is the second Thursday so as not to conflict with religious holidays The April meeting - Sustaining Members Night - is one of the most important Chapter events of the year. In addition to a fantastic and prestigious speaker, there is a Mini-Exposition by numerous Sustaining Members Companies where you can learn about their products and services. There also is the 2nd Annual Graduate Student Poster Contest. This night truly has something for everyone. And remember that this meeting is on the 2nd Thursday of the month (April 10th) not the traditional 3rd Thursday due to the Holidays. We are pleased and honored to have as our Sustaining Member speaker, Anne Stevens, Vice President of North America Operations for Ford Motor Company. Her talk is on the challenges of launching a new vehicle. It is rare that we get an opportunity to view the new car model development process from the inside, so don't miss this night. As an exciting part of the Mini- Exposition, new Sustaining Member Company - Clemex - will have their company bus at Williamson's filled with metallurgical & analytical testing equipment. I think it is safe to say again this month that this winter's weather has been terrible. But take heart because spring is one month nearer and we have two exciting entertainment events to look forward to. First we have the always fun and well attended Spring Dinner Dance on Saturday April 12th at the beautiful Old York Road Country Club in Springhouse. Then June 2nd is the joint Golf Outing with ASNT at Limekiln Golf Club. Come out and support your Chapter, network with colleagues, and have some fun! Finally, students remember that we have a free $25 drawing for any full time student in attendance of our Chapter meeting. See you April 10th!
